Housing reconstruction for Hurricane Dorian
In 2019, Hurricane Dorian hit the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama near the coast of Florida, causing most structures on the islands to be flattened or swept at sea, leaving nearly 100,000 people without a home.
I worked with the Shelter cluster team to provide information to coordinate the efforts of NGOs on the ground in the form of analyses of capacity, geographic targeting, and damage assessments.

Reconstruction of Houses in Madagascar
In 2021, two cyclones hit the east coast of Madagascar within a month, in the same geographic are that was affected by two tropical storms had battered the country earlier in the year.
I worked with NGOs and UN Agencies responding to housing needs, by coordinating regular meetings to agree housing standards.
I coordinated the creation of a National Strategy for housing reconstruction with the Ministry of Disaster Management:

I conducted
user interviews, market research and worked with the government to
design a solution to tackle the pain points that users were encountering to rebuilt their house. I wrote this paper and worked with the government to implement the solution: a new innovative subsidies programme to support housing reconstruction:
