About Me

Users and impact sit at the core of the work that I do, be it to support a decision-maker, a board meeting, a newsletter recipient, or a person affected by a disaster.
Pragmatism and agility drive my ways of working, be it in a crowded office or remotely in a different timezone.
I am a creative problem solver and approach challenges with a double diamond design mindset whether it is about collecting needs on the ground after a disaster, creating information products to ensure decision-makers receive timely information, or coordinating people.
After completing my PhD in Nanotechnology from the London Centre for Nanotechnology, I wanted to work in a field that had a more immediate impact on society and started volunteering at the British Red Cross. I ended up staying on as staff and started working in disaster response. You can find my work featured in various newspapers and blogs linked below:

Information Management for the Coordination of Shelter Activities
In 2019, Hurricane Dorian hit the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama near the coast of Florida, causing most structures on the islands to be flattened or swept at sea, leaving nearly 100,000 people without a home. I worked with the Shelter cluster team to provide information to coordinate the efforts of NGOs on the ground in the form of analyses of capacity, geographic targeting, and damage assessments.

You can a few of my products on the Shelter Cluster website:

Coordination of NGOs and UN Agencies
In 2021, two cyclones hit the east coast of Madagascar within a month, in the same geographic are that was affected by two tropical storms had battered the country earlier in the year. I worked with NGOs and UN Agencies responding to housing needs, by coordinating regular meetings to agree housing standards. I also coordinated the creation of a National Strategy for housing reconstruction with the Ministry of Disaster Management.

You can the strategy (in French) on the Shelter Cluster website:

Digital Product Design for Ranwo

Ranwo is a London-based start-up. It is designed as a social enterprise and operates as a virtual assistant platform created to empower, provide education opportunities in support of disadvantaged and unemployed single mothers in the UK.

I worked on the lean canvas, conducted user interviews, competitor analysis, designed user personas and user journey maps for the different pathways. I then built a mock-up for the main user touchpoint which was the website.
